Submission Guidelines

Cometrics is a free service for communication, collaboration and a free exchange of marketing research data.  We believe Cometrics increases the availability of this kind of information in a collaborative, safe and trusted environment.   Furthermore, we respect our authors’ ownership of and responsibility for the content they choose to share on Cometrics.

In order to uphold these values, we need to curb abuses that threaten our ability to provide this service and the free exchange of data it encourages.  As a result, there are some guidelines on the type of content that can be posted on Cometrics.

The guidelines we’ve defined below are those that both comply with legal requirements and that serve to enhance the service as a whole.  For our privacy policy, please go here.

No Adult Content

We do allow adult content on Cometrics, including images or videos that contain nudity or sexual activity.   It’s about marketing metrics.  They’re sexy enough.

Child Safety

We have a zero tolerance policy towards content that exploits children.  Don’t mess with us on this one.

No Hate or Crude Content

There’s no place for hate speech or crude content on Cometrics.  Be gracious.  Be constructive.  We’re all professionals here.

It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement.   To inform us of alleged copyright infringement, contact Cometrics.  You may, however, quote or paraphrase other people’s content so long as it:

  • Does NOT violate their copyright or intellectual property rights
  • DOES cite them as the original resource
  • Is AT LEAST 25% original content (don’t just copy & paste)

Also, please don’t provide links to sites where your readers can obtain unauthorized downloads of other people’s content.

Our team reviews these flags for policy violations. If the article does not violate our policies, we will not take any action. If we find that the article in questions DOES violate our content policies, we will take one or more of the following actions based on the severity of the violation:

  1. Delete the offending content, or article
  2. Disable the author’s access to Cometrics
  3. Delete and ban an author’s account
  4. Report the user to law enforcement

Let’s all just get along.
